Create your masterpiece..

It is important to know that you can significantly improve your chances of successfully securing a job before you even step into the interviewers office. Although you may be meeting for the first time, the employer will have formed a mental picture of you from studying your resume.

Experience has shown that if an interviewer expects to meet a strong candidate, then this expectation will be self-fulfilling and he or she will create opportunities for the candidate to perform well. In turn, the candidate will sense this approval and be encouraged to excel.

Where possible, it is highly beneficial to tailor your resume to highlight the skills and experience you have for a specific job that you're applying for as doing so significantly increases your chances of gaining an interview and job offer.

At IT Matters, our policy is to forward a copy of your resume to the employer with the minimum formatting on our part. However in order that you have the maximum chance of being invited to interview it is important that your resume is presented to the client in the best possible light. Given that the employer will base many of his or her assumptions on the content and presentation of your resume, you should seize this opportunity to impress your interviewer.

If you have any questions or need any advice regarding your resume, please contact one of our consultants who will be happy to help you.
