     Get that job..

The key to a successful interview is thorough preparation.

Finding out as much as you can about the position, the company and the industry will place you
in a strong position and give you the confidence to handle any difficult situations that may arise.

First impressions are critical and the small things go a long way. It sounds simple it can be easy
to forget to shake hands firmly, look them in the eye and smile. It's amazing how easy it is to forget
to smile but it goes a long way to creating rapport. It pays to be courteous and friendly to everyone
you meet. Sometimes, candidates are declined because they were rude or arrogant towards a
receptionist, conversely it can be surprisingly helpful to have a receptionist tell your potential manager
how nice you seemed when you arrived.

Just as it is important to create a favourable impression at the beginning of your interview, it is equally
important to leave the interview on a positive note. The employer will usually ask if there is anything
further you would like to know and this gives you the opportunity to pose any relevant questions that
have not been answered in the course of the interview. Restate briefly why you think you can make an
exceptionally strong contribution to the job. Leave things on a high, shake hands firmly and don't forget
to thank them for their time and smile.

Remember: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance
